Something is telling me that Francois is going to be essential to the Collector's defeat. In S3E2, the Collector showed a real liking to him with how he wanted to sleep with him, but King said he's only allowed one other person to hold him. And while this was clearly meant to show the Collector's jealousy towards Luz, I think it was more than that.

However they end up defeating the Collector, I think it's going to result in him going away somewhere, and King is going to give him Francois. But not as is. Remember the episode where King created that bootcamp with his stuffed animals that he brought to life with that potion. That episode and the Collector's fondness for Francois seems important. I think King's going to do the same to bring Francois to life before giving him to the Collector. This way when the Collector leaves, he'll have a friend who he can play with and won't be alone anymore.
