Can you please stop posting that Hollywood should burn all the time?
You know real people live there so I think this joke not funny.
They mean that figuratively. Not literally. You need to look up the old saying some time. Also, they meant the company that makes entertainment because they've been hearing about Hollywood hiding a lot of big yet shocking secrets that are slowly coming to light throughout the years ( I won't say what they are as I think you already know what secrets they're hiding that apparently is slowly coming to light and reaching the public ) so when someone says Hollywood should be burned down to the ground. They mean someone should put a stop to the evil things that people in the company are guilty of doing to their workers. You should look it up some time.
I know what it means but again it's not funny and right to make jokes about it.
Who said anyone was joking and who said anyone should do it? No one. It's a saying. That doesn't mean they're going to actually go up to the company of Hollywood and do it. It's a saying about Hollywood should be shut down because they've done a lot of things that they want no one to find out but once people find out and their secrets got out to the public. They say that saying as a figurative meaning that means shut the company down to stop Hollywood from abusing people who work there ( the world automatically knows that Hollywood is not a safe working environment for those who work there )
LOCK
Hollywood (whether it's the city or the "business") also has beautiful sides so it's very discriminatory to talk bad about it and it doesn't matter if other people make bad jokes like that too it´s still not ok so I agree maybe a lock here might be for the best as it goes in a very inappropriate off topic direction.
It's not discriminatory to say some bad things about Hollywood like if they dislike a producer for their works because they say they don't like their movies or they don't like how some producers are abusive to their stars that star in their films. If you're going to ignore the crimes that these producers committed against the actors who starred in their films, then you might as well avoid working for or avoid working with Hollywood altogether so you don't get victimized by the company. And no one is making jokes. They're just stating that Hollywood is a very unsupervised working environment and it's better to not work with or for Hollywood if all these dark secrets and bad things are coming out about the business. So it's probably better to end the conversation because it's only going to lead to an argument and I'm choosing to end the conversation before things escalate.
Stand by my opinion but thanks for finally dropping this thing. 🙂
And I stand by mine.
