Hey there, witches, demons, and anyone lurking around The Owl House wiki. I'm here to remind you all of a prominent and problematic issue in discussions that's recently had a surge again; vent posts.
Vent posts have always been an issue here, ranging from mild to extreme topics. This being a wiki surrounding a show targeted at kids, serious topics such as suicide or self-harm should not be brought up, especially because of how harmful and triggering they can be to others on this platform. Which, mind you, FANDOM is a public online platform, so heavy vents of all sorts anywhere are dangerous to begin with.
In February of this year, the issue of heavy vents became so common that a an announcement was made, and things seemed to cool down a bit, only to now be flaming again. This post serves as a reminder that such heavy and triggering topics should not be discussed here, so we're asking you to cut down on [heavy] vent posts. Posts and comments relating to/venting about suicide or self-harm (and things of the like) will be deleted.
If you're struggling with some of these topics, FANDOM has a collection of suicide prevention resources:
https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Suicide_Prevention_Resources
And please remember that it's much, much better to reach out to actual resources that are safe and can help, rather than venting on a public internet forum which is not safe, and in which the topics can be (and often are) harmful to others who are not equipped to deal with such issues.
Please be mindful of all you post here, how it will affect you and others, and the community as a whole. Thank you!
