(I apologize in advance for the massive wall of text. A discussion of my fave character on my birthday is one I couldn't miss!) Might as well add my own two cents in, I personally do not think Kikimora is pure evil. Why? Instead of looking at her actions, I prefer to look at her desires. Other antagonists show far worse desires. Belos wants to wipe out everyone in the Boiling Isles out of hatred. Terra seems only interested in power, enjoys making innocent people, especially children, suffer just for fun, and is not shown to have any redeeming qualities. Odalia is similar, she cares about her status above all else and will hurt her own family to ensure she stays on top. Tibbles only seems to care about money, hurts people, also no sympathetic traits that we know of. You get the idea, right? Many antagonists can be summed up as having immoral or selfish desires with no sympathetic traits or redeeming qualities and no reluctance to hurt people. Kiki may seem like one of them on the surface, but if you look closer you'll see that's not the case. Here's the facts: She seeks approval from Belos and her mother, she is extremely stressed and afraid because she, like Hunter, knows Belos will kill her if she fails to meet his expectations or tries to leave the Emperor's Coven, and she really wants power. But why? The first two facts explain it. Some combination of fearing for her life, a desire for respect, and to fill a hole in her heart left by unloving parental figures. When you think of it this way, everything she does makes a whole lot more sense. She's not just competing with Hunter to be the LITERAL 'golden child', she's competing for her right to live. She is trapped, and cannot leave, even if she wants to. She hates Hunter, Luz, and their friends because she views them as threats to her life and goals, and is jealous of those who have what she wants. She goes crazy in For the Future, because she lost everything. She has nothing left. No home, no family. She was disowned and banished by her mother for not attending the reunion, remember? And there's no Emperor's Coven anymore. She based her entire sense of identity and self-worth around being 'important', and is thus desperate to become 'important' again, whatever it takes, because if she's not 'important', then what is she? What does she have to live for? Does she matter? Does she matter to anyone? Is she worthless? It's not just 'I want power', it's 'I want to be worth something to someone', and she thinks she needs power to have that. Sound familiar? "Look, kid, everyone wants to believe they're 'chosen'. But if we all waited around for a prophecy to make us special, we'd die waiting. And that's why you need to choose yourself." Kiki is what happens when you cannot love yourself if you're not 'someone worth loving.' Not the violent actions, but the need for approval and external validation. That is what sets her apart from other antagonists. Her actions are evil, but her desire to be loved is not, so where does that leave her now? Well, she doesn't have her dragon or Abomatron, or the EC, so she probably can't do anything bad/crazy anymore. She's doing community service, which is a good start, and if you consider her VA's word as 'canon', she's in therapy (finally), and has been writing apology letters to the people she's hurt. And if she can no longer seek power, she'll need to find a new purpose. I think she can be redeemed. Maybe she's just being good at first because she has to, but our heroes are very kind. With genuine care, she could learn to love. Everything. Better things to enjoy and build a new sense of identity around, other people, and most importantly, herself. Or at least, that's my take on her character.

Sorry but I strongly disagree with all of that. Kikimora is pure evil and her actions speak louder than words. Her desires are pure evil like she is. I agree that Belos, Odalia, Tibbles, Terra, all the other villains are pure evil and lost causes because they shown their true colors and there's no redeeming them.

Kikimora is pure evil inside and out. She wasn't seeking approval, she wanted power and control, she's only like that because she's pure evil. She wasn't like that because Belos would end her, she wasn't like that because of her issues with her family, she never wanted to leave the Emperor's Coven, she wanted power and revenge against anyone she felt would ruin things for her or those who would give her what she wanted,

She wanted power to rule with an iron fist. She's a bad seed like all the other villains. It wasn't because she feared for her life, she only wanted power and respect by ruling over everyone with an iron fist by having people fear respect and worship her when she's really just a power crazed gremlin whose a crazy maniac. She tricked Luz and her friends about wanting to go to her family reunion and said the place her family is at could burn so I doubt it was a family issue.

Everything she does never made sense to me or others. She wanted Hunter's position for power and revenge. She's like a female equivalent to Napoleon. I doubt it was to live, she wanted power and revenge.

Luz and her friends and family didn't have anything she wanted. It wasn't out of jealousy to me. She only wanted Luz and her friends out of the way so she can rule.

She went crazy in For the Future because she knew that now that Belos is out of the picture. She could take the power and revenge for herself. I doubt she wanted to be validated by Belos or anyone. She's just another maniac psycho whose on the lunatic fringe.

During the apocalypse. She basically saw all who she saw in her way out of her way and she was going to use her power for revenge and stopping anyone who would stop her. She's pure evil, to me, and others, she doesn't matter and doesn't matter to anyone. She's like Odalia, hate sink. She only wants power.

Kikimora is someone who is a hate sink character like Odalia. She didn't want validation or approval. She only wanted power and revenge. Her desires are evil like her actions. Her losing everything was part of karma.

She can still do bad and crazy things even after all that. Her helping with rebuilding everything was part of her sentence because they needed as many people to rebuild everything that they could get.

Then after everything was rebuilt. She went straight to prison for life. The VA didn't confirm anything being canon from what me and others remember. Kikimora is not in therapy, she's not writing letters of apology to anyone.

There's no proof of that. She's just a bitter and angry and vengeful person who thinks she shouldn't be in prison for her actions but she's there because she deserves to be.

She still wants power and revenge but she'll never get it. She had no purpose. She can't be redeemed and never will be. She's not trying to be good. There's no proof. The heroes in the show know that she'll never be forgiven and she's in prison for life.

You seem to take things at face value, and with a show like this, you'll be missing a lot if you do. You seem to repeat what you say a lot, without actually making any points, only stating your opinions. You say how there's no proof of anything I say, while claiming repeatedly that she is 'in prison for life', a headcanon without proof, among other things. My take may not be proven, but there is evidence for it. For starters, some of the things I said are fact, like not being able to leave the Emperor's Coven. You seemed to miss my point there, it's not about whether she wants to leave, it's the fact that she doesn't have a choice, Follies made it very clear that leaving means death. You are right that the VA didn't confirm anything, I only mentioned it as something that could be taken as canon if anyone wants to. The rest of the evidence is simply implied. Part of analyzing a show is observing what you are given and asking yourself, 'What is the point of this? Why was this included? What does it mean? What is this hinting at? What message is this trying to convey?'. For example, Kiki's phone call with her mother suggests that her mother is strict, controlling, and unloving. There may be no way to prove it, but not everything has to be proven. Part of analyzing a show is also coming up with your own theories based on the evidence you are given, and what I am seeing is that Kiki is portrayed in a very different light than the others. She is at best, a joke villain in comparison, one that is seemingly intended to come off as pitiful and non-threatening in a way that the others are not. If what you say about the community service is true, then why do we not see the others doing it, too? My guess is to show that she is making an effort to be better, or at least got off with a lighter punishment, and why would she get a lighter punishment if there is not a good reason? You don't have to agree with anything I say about Kiki, that's not the point, rather I hope you can understand why I think what I do, and try looking at things the way a detective would, by searching for clues, it's more fun that way. After all, no one would have figured out that Hunter was a Grimwalker before it was revealed if they hadn't been looking for hints.

What you're saying is an opinion or headcanon. She never wanted to leave the Emperor's Coven because like a politician, she wanted as much power as possible ( I'd rather we avoid talking about politics since that's a very touchy subject )

I saw your point, but there's no proof to it. She did have a choice but she made the choice to stay because she was wanting rule with as much power as she can wield. The more power one has, the more they can wield it in any way or form they choose. And Kikimora wanted to use it to rule, get revenge against anyone she deemed to be in her way or anyone she didn't like for petty reasons.

In Follies, that was a ruse, a trap, she used that sob story to fool Luz and her friends to give her what she wanted, she was really planning on murdering some of them when she was going to be promoted, even though it was a bogus promotion, that's still no excuse!

If something isn't canon, then we can't take it as canon. That's like a person trying to predict the future when they're not psychic. It's something that can't be done. Even if you say the evidence is implied, it's not implied, there's no proof of the evidence as I've said. I'm not asking myself any of that.

Kikimora's mother may be like that but Kikimora was using that phone call to fool Luz and her friends, mainly, to bait Luz into giving her sympathy when Kikimora was faking and she was luring those she believe to be a threat to her or the Emperor into a trap.

Evil, selfish, dangerous and she is power insane. I doubt she's a joke villain because when she was on screen. She was never funny to me or others I know. Maybe if they had her with a funny co-worker to make them seem like Laural and Hardy. I just don't see Kikimora being meant to be a joke villain. She's been quite serious with her plans.

Others have said or expressed like I have, you just haven't been on this local wiki long enough to see it. Others have said it for years or during the time the show was still going. Between 2020 to the day it concluded. After it's been six months or a year after its conclusion. Anyone seeing things now might've missed what people have posted in the past during the show's run.

Kikimora is not making an effort to be better and she didn't get a lighter punishment. She got the maximum punishment which was life in prison. How else do you explain why she was not in the final shot. You may think how you do and all and there's no crime against it.

But if you're going to say some things that are not true about a villain like Kikimora or theorize or analyze something about her with things that are not true or have no confirmation whatsoever.

Sorry, I don't want to say that but you're not really seeing it like a detective does when solving a mystery. While I agree that doing things like a detective is fun and can be quite a thrill ( I've been through that and I can confirm it's fun ) the whole thing about Hunter being a Grimwalker, well, between his debut appearance till probably Eclipse Lake I think.

No one was theorizing that he was a Grimwalker or a clone yet, if you want to use the word clone if you want. Some time after Eclipse Lake is when people were theorizing that he's a clone because I was there to see people start coming up with that.
