Maybe not specifically Earth dogs

Bit maybe some other dog-like beast demons

i would like to think so even if they aren't mentioned!! cats exist in the same realm (though are often related to witches in media, so that's normal) and human artifacts and human realm related things sometimes show up on the boiling isles, so i could guess that dogs made their way into the vocabulary of the isles citizens?

He Barks and licks his injuries and just overall looks and acts like a dog
