Because of Odalia's blackmailing her during the 8th birthday party, Amity pretended to be bully to Willow, pretended to be friends with Boscha, being pressured to be the best so she'd join the Emperor's Coven so that the Blights could get in "good" with Belos and raise their status in society even higher.

Amity became a much better, stronger and braver woman. A much better mother and wife. All things Odalia is not.
