One of my favorite features of the Owl House is its portrayal of Eda being a heroic anarchist. Anarchism is often a heavily misjudged philosophy, with believers being associated with nihilism, chaos, terrorism, and lack of morality. However, the vast majority of actual anarchists do not fall into these categories at all, with the philosophy often being regarded as a preference, rather than a definite solution.
From the series, Eda has been shown to be a definite anarchist who opposes government and laws and tried to teach these beliefs onto Luz several times. Keeping this in mind, I wonder how much Luz had come to accept her foster-mother’s worldview. After the ordeals she went through against Belos and his tyrannical rule and living with a “criminal” throughout her time in the Isles, does Luz reject the notion of governments as well?
I would love to know y’all’s thoughts on this subject.
