I rewatched all of Season 3 today because why not, and I had a few thoughts on it.
The Collector's music is so well written. It has the kind of manic, hyper, almost creepy quality that is similar to the Collector's entire vibe, so like the dolls, all his "antics" (see: adorable shooting stars! that rain from the sky and attack people.) In my opinion it's the best part of the entire soundtrack, not necessarily in how much I like the song, but in how well written it is.
Titan Luz's design is awesome, and I love how much detail was put into it with all of the glyphs, the color scheme, how her eyes changed to look like King's, and even the fluffy Titan hair!
The epilogue was perfect and amazing and I wouldn't switch it for the world but I wish they'd brought back the "King jumping out of a cake" joke, especially as they changed it to a King-ceanera (am I spelling that right?). However they might have thought it was irritating or old to use the same joke twice, which is probably what would have happened anyway.
I love how all of the relationships- platonic and otherwise- were explored during the episodes. Hunter's relationships were the most interesting to me, him and Willow have an amazing "we're traumatized but we're traumatized TOGETHER" feel and I think it's part of what makes them such a great pair. I also found Hunter's relationship with Gus interesting, as Gus is a very open person and always seems to be trying to open up to people whereas Hunter is a very closed-off, private person, but when placed together and given a stack of nerdy comics, they learnt from each other and became fast friends.
The "I loaf you" joke will always be one of my favourites and I find it so sweet that King's dad chose to say that to him. It really shows how much he paid attention and was a caring father even when he couldn't be there for his kid physically. It's so adorable.
Finally, here's my ranking of the episodes:
1: Watching And Dreaming
2: Thanks To Them
3: For The Future
Thanks for reading! Bye!
