What exactly is undertale?

I just haven't played Deltarune

it looks interesting but idk where/how to play it without paying money

I voted "No" because I have not actually played either of them, but I really really want to!! A ton of my friends are big fans of both Undertale and Deltarune.

every four years when they release new deltarune content i go all out and then forget about it after 2. it's like a birthday present i've received three times and had no idea what it was every time
