been a minute since i came here, but i remembered that this place used to be literally called the "off-topic wiki" and i finally started learning digital art, so wanted to share a piece i was proud of :o)

i love my OCs so much (i had to censor the baby's hand, please ignore her, she's normal i swear)

This is Sandra and her daughter, Cynthia. Sandra and her husband met in 1967, during the summer before their senior year, and Sandra became pregnant with Cynthia shortly after they got together. They graduated and got married before the baby came, with little time to prepare for what was to come. Eddie, her husband, went to a music school for a short time, but couldn't keep up with juggling two jobs and his coursework, and eventually dropped out. He started selling cars for his father's business, and eventually gave up on his musical passion in order to make money for his family.

Sandra, on the other hand, took care of Cynthia at home, but felt herself resenting the baby in her arms for destroying her shot at the Ivy League with every passing day. After Cynthia's second birthday, Sandra decided she had to do something other than sit around at home and signed up for a secretarial school. From there, she got a job at an ad firm and worked there part-time while taking care of her daughter.

She and Eddie tried to be happy together, despite their growing resentment for each other and their daughter. They really did. And for sixteen years, it worked.

Until 1984.
