No. Amity did not risk her life to help undo the damage. Amity was sabotaging Luz' attempts to repair the damage. Every time Luz went near the birthday memory Amity would distract her away from it.
Amity: Willow was a... late bloomer.
Luz: I know, but now she's more like a great bloomer! This place is like a theater showing her most important moments! Now, let's fix some more! [Runs up to the birthday party picture.] The photo that started it all! Let's do it next. [Amity visibly panics. Luz starts to climb into the picture.]
Amity: Wait! Uhh. You want important moments? [Gestures to the awkward hair day picture.] This one might be about a crush! [Smiles nervously.]
Luz: Hmm, don't mind if I do! [Laughs.]
Amity: We're getting pretty good at fixing these.
Luz: [Inhales.] Phew! [Tosses egg.] Yeah. And there's only one last memory to fix! The one you're suspiciously avoiding.
Amity: Me? Avoid? No. But let's skip it! Where's Eda's bell?
Amity runs at Luz. Luz stops her with one hand on Amity's face.]
Luz: Amity, you gotta stop being weird. We have to fix all of them. Unless... there's something in there you don't want me to see.
[Amity crosses her arms defensively.]
Luz: Look, I'm not here to judge, I'm just here to help Willow.
Amity: Help? All you're doing is prying into your friends lives!
Not only is Amity distracting Luz from the very thing she came in to do, she then physically tries to take Eda's bell and then tries to gaslight Luz about her motives for entering Willow's mind in the first place.
The only time Amity's life was in danger was when Inner Willow showed up and then it was only because Amity had poked the bear and now the bear was going to poke back. Amity doesn't get points for cleaning up the mess she made. Especially when she had to be dragged into it and then tried to sabotage it.
Amity did not patch things up with Willow. At no point in the show did Amity ever address her past bullying of Willow. It was all retconned away. At no point in the show did the words, "I'm sorry", "I apologize", "Please forgive me", etc. ever pass Amity's lips to anyone she's ever hurt. They treated that part of Amity like it never happened. And Amity never risked her life for her friends. Only Luz. After Grom everything Amity thought, said or did was for Luz. She barely interacted with anyone else.
The point is that Amity went from an independent character to an appendage of Luz. She was reduced to a love interest and nothing more.
