That may have been the case back when the only choices for sexuality were "gay" or "straight". It doesn't work that way anymore. There are a myriad of alternative sexualities out there with very specific characteristics, definitions and even flags and fandom is very particular about those details. Get them wrong and fandom will descend upon you as some sort of bigot.

MLM is a broad term for men who love men. I never explicitly said "gay". I am aware of different orientations. Stop jumping to conclusions.

Dana stated that Amity was intended to be a lesbian but that Luz is bi. By stating it as an intention Dana left open the possibility of change. This is what writers do. Dana opened the door to Amity possibly being bi with the Malingale drawing and didn't close it like she did with Luz definitively being bi. Had the show continued we might have seen her explore that possibility and have that revelation play a role in Lumity's future development. This is what creators do. They leave themselves open pathways in their works during the creative process that they can explore later depending on how their narrative develops.

To make this clear: Do not reply to this post anymore. Do not reply to feed Hawas more reason to argue. Do not call me out for sounding like a moderator. It's simply getting too complicated for a simple question.
