I love these two so much 😍 ❤
I love these two so much 😍 ❤
I keep forgetting that August 8th is not only the anniversary of Enchanting Grom Fright premiering in 2020, but also Five Nights at Freddy's releasing in 2014. Crazy how they both fall on the same day.
Happy big 5th anniversary to Enchanting Grom Fright!
And a happy 11th birthday to Freddy and his friends too!
I still can't believe these two anniversaries are on the same day.
4 years is crazy
Oh yeah my old art from a year ago too lol
Sorry if I haven't posted one of these in a few days, I've been busy with real-life stuff. But now I'm back, so let the rambling once again commence!
Also... still no refunds... even if this was briefly on hiatus.
Let's get started!
Bread puns! As it turns out, King gets his sense of humor from his old man.
HE'S REGURGITATING! STAND CLEAR!
Hooty is ready to join the episode's main plot... not today, I'm afraid.
Oh deary me, the bacon is back!
Behold! It's... OBVIOSO! Gee, I wonder who that could be behind the moustache... ah, forget it, I'm not entertaining Tibbles' poor attempts at disguise.
An outdated human reference!
DEAR GOD, IT'S THE FUN POLICE! THEY'VE FOUND ME AGAIN!
Notice the poster next to Eda's... with the bear animatronic. Actually, that's supposed to be a reference to the old animatronic pizzeria chain ShowBiz Pizza, and its main mascot, Billy Bob.
That is not Freddy Fazbear. I repeat: NOT FREDDY FAZBEAR.
"HUR HUR HUR HUR!"
Piss off, Fazbender!
Now, where were we...?
"No refunds!"
See? He gets it! Why should I give refunds if I'm not even charging for this in the first place!
Seems Hooty spent the whole day with a bug (which he eats seconds later). Yep, I can understand why our mains wanted to stay out of that boring plot.
Guess what, guys?
IT'S SKARLOEY'S 160TH BIRTHDAY!
Wait... what's that?
Uh... it seems there's been a typo...
It's actually Skara's 15th birthday... screw that, I'd rather go to Skarloey's birthday party.
@ThomasH3arts Get in loser, we're going to Crovan's Gate for Skarloey's party.
On another note, Skara's VA, Kimberly Brooks, is a recurring VA on "South Park", in case you found that interesting.
Remember kids... drugs are bad... m'kay?
KID FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!
Look, I know it can be tempting to give into those NAGGING VOICES IN YOUR HEAD TELLING YOU TO BURN IT DOWN, BURN IT ALL DOWN!
But arson isn't the solution to everything, Amity!
Welcome to the mindscape! This is our first time getting a glimpse at such a place, and it won't be our last time! Oh boy, it sure won't be our last time... oh ho ho! ("Hollow Mind" is my favorite episode if you couldn't tell.)
Luz and Amity try to ring their bell to tell Eda they need to get out of Willow's mindscape... but Eda's a little busy at the moment.
LET'S SEE IF KING CAN MAKE SOME MORE NOISE! I LOVE NOISE!
Doth I spy the trademark Blight blush? They're all secretly tomatoes.
And now we meet the Inner Willow... it sure won't be our last time facing someone's inner self in this show- yeah, you get it by now.
Oh great... these two. Alador's redemption arc hasn't started yet so I'm grouping him in with his nasty wife.
Yes, this is the first appearance of Odalia Blight... and even if I'm only seeing her silhouette, it still gives me the urge to GIVE IN TO THE VOICES AND BURN IT ALL DOWN!
Meanwhile, in B-Plot land, Gus has been trying to find an interesting person to write about for his journalism class. He settles on... Hooty. Eda says Gus is dead to her now.
"Oh, right... I forgot I had people in there."
Interviewing Hooty turned out to be a bad idea.
King's exposure to the human realm's internet has taught him that the Earth is flat... Luz was right to take away the child's device.
HE'S REGURGITATING AGAIN! RUN FOR IT!
Don't need to give this one a caption, do I?
Mere seconds later, Amity would proceed to beat Hooty's sorry face to a pulp.
JESUS CHRIST, IT'S A REDDITOR!
Luz is very right to be afraid.
Aww... she's got a little King watch! Did she get that custom-made or something?
Let's put our hands up for Principal Bump, the man who makes children fight Grometheus the Fear-Bringer and throws a party around it.
I'll say it again... THIS MAN IS A LIABILITY. I respect that.
GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
JESUS CHRIST, IT'S THE REDDITOR AGAIN! TAKE IT AWAY, IT PAINS ME TO LOOK!
Ah, here it is... the famous Lumity dance. Truly an iconic moment with an awesome score to boot.
Ehh... I saw that coming.
"I AM KING AND QUEEN, BEST OF BOTH THINGS!"
Ah, the lad really does take after his father.
It turns out... someone has been impersonating Luz in the human realm! "Let's do lots of fun mother/daughter activities forever and ever," is definitely not a normal human thing to write, Vee.
Also, misspelling Luz's name and crossing it out isn't making you look any less suspicious. Remember: It's Luz with a Z, not an S. "Lus" is not a word, so unless you were trying to write out the name of the ship R.M.S. Lusitania for some reason, best to not make that mistake again.
Yep, I pushed one of my special interests into this with a lame joke, as I'm inclined to do. What can I say, the Lusitania was a fine ship.
And... this poor guy has been dangling from this rope, acting as a makeshift disco ball for the entire episode. That's another liability for Bump!
I think it's about time for Bump to, as we say in the human realm, BETTER CALL SAUL!
Pings:
Amity Blight is a fascinating character. Out of the Season 1 characters, she has a really good arc: going from a mean girl jerk, a closed off bully, to a uneasy person, to a actual good person and friends.
And the story of her character is pretty cool as we spoon learn about more of her character. We got to see more of her family life and how shes acts. And after slowly becoming friends with Luz, she learns to become a better person, even fixing her friendship with Willow.
She has a really good redemption and could have become a really great character to the fandom, a person who stands for standing up to people, giving other seconds chances and being an all round encouraging and kind person. She could have set a real great example and helped other into becoming the best versions of themselves, just as Luz did for her before.
Then “Enchanting Grom Fright” and “Wing It Like Witches” comes along, and quite completely ruins it. All the character Amity has around Luz is completely replaced with her being head over heels in love with her. The only thing that stayed consistent is that she isn't a bad guy anymore and her whole world suddenly revolves around his random human. Boscha also pissed me off a bit, (the whole "Wow. Sports" thing was just annoying and tedious), and Knock, Knock, Knocking on Hooty’s door pissed me up aLOT. In this episode, Amity is just relegated to a plot device that Hooty gets to smash Luz with. She is just a goal for Luz in the episode, and in “Eclipse Lake”, Amity’s character is being paranoid about Luz dumping her if she fails (yeah I know Luz wasn't gonna dump her, but still).
The only good Season 2 episode that Amity has an arc is “Reaching Out”, where we actually see her have development independent from Luz. And Clouds on the horizon (Despite everyone seeing only the Lumity Kiss and nothing else), also has good Amity Moments as well. But that happens not too often.
But do I hate Lumity? No! It's so adorable. Like, I dare you to say one horrible thing about Lumity. Their interactions are charming and their fan art and comics are even better. And it is important for LGBT representation in programming.
But Luz x Amity style comes at a cost.
It's so sad that a good majority of people see Amity as just a gay panic abomination maker, which sucks as she could have been so much more than that.
But no. She's just Luz Girlfriend. And that's it.
But don't worry. There are still thousands of fans who love Amity completely absent of Luz. But I fear that with more gay panic and cuddly moments for Lumity, Amity will only appear at first glance to be one thing: In Love.
You know, If I had a nickel every time a brunette just became the love interest of somebody despite having potential,
I'd have two nickels.
Which would be how much I would get if I traded in Magna Charge at Cex!

Everyone saying Willow hasn't forgiven Amity because of the "bullying", but it's not true.
Amity never actually bullied Willow, but protected her from Odalia. Understanding Willow proves without a shadow of a doubt that Amity was never a bully: She only and I mean ONLY acted like that because Odalia forced her to. Everything we saw early on was Amity just putting on an act she was always just pretending to not care about Willow to make sure she didn't get kicked out of Hexside, cause Odalia said she'd do it if Amity maintained her friendship with Willow or being friendly with her. The point is Amity is not and never was a bully. This episode makes it clear that Amity never wanted to hurt Willow and was just forced into it, she always loved and cared about her best friend, because like I said before she was just putting on an act to protect Willow from Odalia and that's it. That's all it ever was.
Willow did forgive Amity and knew that she has been only pretending to be bully to protect her and never wanted to betray or hurt her at all. They had mended their friendship in Wing it Like Witches after their reconciliation with Understanding Willow. "Patched things up" means you mend your friendship with someone, so Amity and Willow became friends again in Wing it Like Witches which chronologically takes place either a few weeks or maybe one month after Enchanting Grom Fright.
Despite rekindling their friendship, in Follies at the Coven Day Parade, when Amity said "I'm glad we can be like this again", Willow stopped smiling, now knowing that what she and Amity had before isn't the same as it was and she feels like it won't ever be that way again, even though she'd like it to be, but they are at the very least back to being friends again.
Does anyone knows that Wing it Like Witches chronologically takes place either a few weeks or maybe one month after Enchanting Grom Fright?
Summer technically goes from June 1st up to September 21st if I remember correctly, but ok let's ballpark it at six weeks to maybe half of 1 month at most, anyway but I am VERY sure that those two episodes were at the VERY LEAST several weeks apart AT MOST.
In this episode, Amity and Willow rebuild their friendship and became friends again after their reconciliation in Understanding Willow.
P.S.: My previous post was a mistake. Lol
