I just finished Young Blood, Old Souls and I’m wondering. I never really got it so I just wanna make sure, Philip created the portal right? Or am I just making stuff up?
Hooty on door

I want it to be to where when King or any titan grabs the portal doorknob, it gets all glowy and weird and his hand glows blue and his hand involuntarily zaps things. Everything it zaps gets teleported to a random realm. If he makes a fist, he teleports himself. Part 2 later
I’ve put some of the pieces together (kind of, I still don’t know Hooty’s origin though, just some hints). I posted part of the theory in the livestream thread, though I just watched a video of someone else’s theory that gave me some new ideas. So this post is just putting it all together.
So, yesterday during the livestream with Dana Terrace, a lot of information was revealed, though one important part that I focused on was:
King’s tower (where he lived before Eda found him), why it’s not on any maps, and who painted the murals: has something to do with a character we all know who has amnesia. (I might have heard the last part wrong)
Copy and pasting part of the theory I posted from before:
Assuming I didn’t hear wrong the last part about a character having amnesia, here is my theory:
THE CHARACTER WITH AMNESIA IS HOOTY.
Because: There aren’t any characters with amnesia, right? Or is there? We know that Hooty (or Hooty’s species) was part of the Titan’s eye once. We also know that Hooty doesn’t remember any of it, or he would have mentioned it with how much he likes talking and bragging. After the Titan died, Hooty must have painted the murals in King’s tower, and made sure that it wasn’t on any maps. It makes sense, since Hooty obviously has a connection to the Titan. Then something happened that made Hooty lose his memories.
Also: If I remember correctly (my memory isn’t the best), when asked this question, Dana was at first reluctant to answer, and was conflicted between answering it or not. Which could mean that it’s a spoiler. Hooty’s backstory wasn’t explained in the show, so his backstory could potentially still be a spoiler.
A thing I thought of last night that connects to this theory: Hooty appeared in Echoes of the Last and Edge of the World. The two episodes in season 2 about Titans. And one of the episodes was about the characters going to King’s Tower. When I thought back on it, why did Hooty come with them? (Because Lilith asked him to come, because he’s her friend, naturally.) But what I mean is, from a story-wise standpoint, why include Hooty? He’s been a side character all season 1, never going on any adventures. Why make Hooty one of the main characters from 2 episodes (3 including Knock, Knock, Knockin’ on Hooty’s Door, but that episode is actually necessary for Hooty to appear in)? One reason could be to develop Hooty and Lilith’s friendship. But… when you think about it, it’s still a little random. If Hooty never appeared in Echoes of the Past, I’m sure that many fans would still love Hooty and Lilith’s friendship. There would be some great moments missing, but their friendship would still be well-written. And Hooty appearing in Edge of the World is even more… weird, persay. What did Luz and King’s adventure with finding King’s dad have to do with Hooty? Lilith asked him to go to protect Luz and King. But… why? Like, these two reasons (asking Hooty to come because he’s her friend, and asking Hooty to go to protect Luz and King) all seem pretty random when you think back on it. It seems like just a random reason created to make viewers not think much about it… because there’s actually a reason for Hooty appearing in those two specific episodes. I mean, if Dana wanted Hooty to get more screentime in season 2, he could have appeared in other episodes, like Eclipse Lake, or Elsewhere and Elsewhen. The latter could have also developed his friendship with Lilith, since Lilith appears in Elsewhere and Elsewhen. But these two specific episodes… hmm. 🧐
Anyways, moving on to the next part of the theory, this is the video I just watched was this one:https://youtu.be/8IXETI8fVdM
I highly recommend watching it, though it is a little long (21 minutes, though the last 1-2 minutes aren’t super necessary to watch). If you do watch it, keep in mind that this video was made before Yesterday’s Lie was released. Now that Watching and Dreaming has come out… just wow. This guy has predicted a lot. And no wonder. According to tacwombat from reddit, on the livestream Dana said that the Hooty Hole Theory is right. Though Dana didn’t specify which part of his thesis was right.
The video made some great points, but one of the parts mentioned that most struck out to me was the eye on the portal door. The video creator said that it was possible Hooty could power the portal, either the eye portal or a different portal, because the placement of the eye on the portal door and the placement of Hooty on the owl house door was really similar. After Watching and Dreaming, WE SEE THAT HOOTY IS IN THE TITAN’S EYE. Dana also confirmed on the livestream that the eye on the portal is the Titan’s eye. So… what if Hooty went into the eye on the portal, like how he was in the Titan’s eye before he died? Would he be able to control the portal door, like how he can control the door of the owl house? The video also mentioned that the portal door eye can be taken off, as shown in Young Blood, Old Souls. So if someone took off the portal door eye, and put Hooty in there… what would happen? Would Hooty regain his memories of being in the Titan’s eye before coming to live in the owl house? Would he be able to power the portal door? The video also mentioned that Hooty might be able to draw magic from the Titan when he’s stuck in the ground (in Knock, Knock, Knockin’ on Hooty’s Door), and that he may be a tapeworm or parasite. So maybe all the time while Hooty was in the Titan’s left eye, he was actually drawing magic from the Titan (not enough to kill her or severely drain him).
Another thing mentioned in the video about the portal: He mentioned how the owl house may have a parallel to the abandoned house in Gravesfield, the house with the portal door on the Human Realm’s side, and that maybe Hooty could connect the owl house door to the portal door on the Human Realm’s side. And… in Watching and Dreaming, that’s kinda exactly what happened, minus the Hooty part. The portal door was connected directly to the owl house door. It basically became the same door.
We don’t know if the entire video is right or just parts of it, but even if it’s just parts of it, that’s really cool. It might mean that Hooty actually can power the portal door. And that might have happened, or might have been mentioned or hinted at, if Disney hadn’t shortened TOH. Dana at some other time (a previous interview or livestream, not this one) that there was one fan who got Hooty’s origin correct. Could the youtuber who made this video be that fan? Or is it someone else?
I might have missed something in this post that I meant to write, so I might edit this post later on. Anyways, what do y’all think? Do you think Hooty painted the murals in King’s Tower and made it not appear on any maps, or that Hooty might actually be able to power the portal?

All of my favorite stuff is all technically the same thing with different characters and scenarios.
Has anyone else noticed that the portal door and Bill Cipher's eye look eerily similar?
Has anyone else noticed that the eye on the portal door is super similar to Bill Cipher's eye?
I don't think I actually want a permanent portal in the finale
Idk it just feels too "easy"/convenient ig
No this is not the same as my last post but it does involve the portal door. The same eye that is the window on the Owl House is the eye on the portal door and key!!! Please tell me that that doesn’t have to do with anything… right?
I drew the eye from the portal door, cut it out, and taped it to the inside door of my locked. I randomly decided I needed a portal to the demon realm in my locker.
Bill’s eye looks juuuuustt vaguely familiar to the portal door… that’s probably just a coincidence but still

Could this be important? Since Caleb went back and forth through the realms in this place (This was the Demon realm end of it), then that definitely could be where the Caleb and Belos confrontation occurred. Why would that happen, however? Did Evelyn curse Belos with his green goo thingy, and Palismen counteracted that? But why wouldn’t Evelyn destroy or even use the portal door herself? On that note, this could be a cool plot point.
