That's not how being complicit works. By virtue of having his name on the company, being one of its founders and owners and actively developing their product lines Alador is an integral member of that organization and bears full responsibility for everything done in its name. That's how owning a business works.
First, Alador is part of Blight Industries and just as complicit with Belos' genocide as Odalia is.
Second, plenty of companies in our world were complicit with Nazi Germany and the Holocaust and many of them are still in business.
That doesn't make the divorce canon. Until it's confirmed in the source material as per Dana Terrace it's just headcanon.
Everything I listed is canon and citable as canon from this very wiki.
If Odalia isn't an abusive monster of a mother then Amity has to bear full responsibility for her own abusive behavior towards Willow and others. While Odalia is certainly a bad parent canonically she is not an abusive one.
Fandom rules require that information added to wiki articles has to be canon and the Blight divorce isn't canon. Adding it into the wiki violates Fandom's rules. After all, the whole point of these Fandom wikis is that they serve as a repository of canon information. If fans are going to fill them with their opinions then they become nothing more than fanfiction.
This fandom definitely cherry picks what Dana says. They made that fact abundantly clear not that long ago. They'll celebrate anything she says that they agree with and tear her to shreds over anything she says that they don't.
She did not get divorced as nothing was ever shown or said onscreen to establish their being divorced. Therefore it did not happen. People have been editing their headcanons into the wiki practically since the show debuted. As far as this fandom is concerned TOH canon is optional.
Odalia getting divorced is a headcanon. Dana covered this in her final post-Hoot. Canon is only that which appeared onscreen. Dana declared Death of rhe Author so not even her statements are canon.
Any assessment of Luz and Amity's relationship must take into account that both of them are emotionally damaged teenagers with no social skills or relationship experience. They simply don't know what they are doing yet fandom wants to frame Lumity as a mature relationship between two adults that will last them to the grave.
Once established Lumity quickly devolved to codependency and emotional abuse. Amity gave up every other support system in her life and centered her existence around Luz. Luz started lying to Amity and emotionally withdrawing from her in favor of Hunter. Amity told Luz that she knew what Luz was doing and asked her to stop. Luz never stopped. Ultimately Luz was planning to physically abandon Amity at the portal and permanently return to her old life on earth leaving Amity to her fate at the hands of Belos and the Collector.
Both Luz and Amity need time to grow and mature before they are ready to have a mutual relationship with anyone let alone each other.
Likely for the same reason no one stopped Amity and her bullying. She was torturing Willow for nearly a decade as Hexside's queen bee yet she seemed to be admired by Hexside's faculty. Given the nature of the Demon Realm it's likely bullying isn't the crime there that it is here. In the Demon Realm schools literally go to war with each other. Glandus is run on a survival of the fittest model.
Everyone seems to forget who Dana Terrace is as an artist. She's not into puppies, kittens and unicorns. She's into body horror. Her artistic vision is nightmares of torn and twisted flesh. She modeled the Demon Realm on the hellscapes of Hieronymous Bosch. Eda is modeled after Baba Yaga. This is not a good world. These are not good people. We've seen a lot worse from this world than bullying. If Dana had been free to do what she wanted The Owl House would have looked a lot more like Knights of Guinevere.
This is particularly obvious in Wing it Like Witches. At the end of Understanding Willow Amity promised to never let Boscha bully Willow ever again. Yet in WILW Amity just stood by while Boscha bullied Willow, Luz and Gus all day. It wasn't until Boscha threatened Luz that Amity finally intervened.
At the end of WILW Amity is between Luz and Willow after the match with a broken leg and she didn't have a word to say to Willow. Not even a, "Thank you", in gratitude after Amity had practically begged Willow to play in the match. All she did was gush over Luz.
For fandom Lumity had to be a perfect relationship. As far as they were concerned Lumity will be the only relationship Luz and Amity will ever have for the rest of their lives. However Lumity cannot be perfect if Luz and Amity aren't perfect and those two are certainly far from perfect. So fandom built a Lumity AU were all of Luz and Amity's problematic behaviors were either justified, someone else's fault or just didn't happen.
@TheMaverickFan Fandom can be quite hypocritical when viewing teenagers. They'll shift between mature and immature depending on convenience and circumstances. Just look at Amity.
Fandom will on one hand believe that at 14 Amity is mature and responsible enough to form and maintain a lifetime romantic commitment with another emotionally damaged 14 year old to the point of having and raising children and yet when you try to hold her responsible for all the harm she's done with her history of bullying fandom will cite Odalia's parenting as an excuse for Amity's inexcusable behavior. Either Amity is mature and to be held accountable for her own decisions and actions or she's a child whose bad acts are the responsibility of her parents. She can't be both.
Fandom has been using Odalia as a scrub brush to clean up Amity. Amity is responsible for some reprehensible behavior towards Luz and especially Willow that she never acknowledged or made up for. Fandom has been attributing Amity's behavior to Odalia being abusive. Odalia was never canonically abusive to any of her offspring. She's a controlling parent and not a particularly good one but she's never done anything that would constitute abuse under the law or would require the intervention of CPS. Odalia being an abusive parent is a headcanon not official canon.
The show died so the wiki was going to follow suit.
Star vs the Forces of Evil doesn't take place in the same universe because at the end of SVTFOE Mewni and earth were fused together. It was a completely new and different world.
However Rick and Morty does take place in the same universe. Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) and Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty) canonically fused their shows together. So as horrific a thought as this may be Rick Sanchez and his rogue's gallery are running around in the same universe as Anne Boonchuy, Luz Noceda and the Pines twins.
