Does it bother anybody else when fans of kid's cartoons act is if their show isn't for children because darker scenes and themes are present??? And that their show is amazing and superior to a fun, silly slice of life show like let's say, Big City Greens (Big City Greens gets done dirty by those types of people fr)
Like golly no need to act so grown up, a good children's show has heart and soul put into it, embracing the idea of being a show for kids through positive messaging and good lessons, might as well love it for what it is instead of trying to make it something it's not
Yes, it's okay and dare I say good to have a darker themes present in children's shows! If you coddle and shelter you're probably going to get a very, frustrated and reckless teenager or adult but idk I'm some guy on the internet giving his opinion not an expert, like at all
Anyways I've been watching alot of a long-running anime called Pretty Cure which embodies what I'm saying really well, it's a fun magical girl series telling bright and positive stories while using darker and more emotional moments that the characters have to overcome to help push it's lessons forward
