It's 4 a.m. in my time zone and I can't sleep because I keep thinking about Luz and her story - how can you miss someone who didn't even "really" exist so much? The series had such an incredible good impact on me...

OH MY TITAN 6 YEARS! And now I'm crying again....
It feels like it was ages ago, and yet it feels like it was just yesterday that I became a The Owl House fan.
The emotions are really intense when I think about it, and I'm so grateful for these wonderful memories—I've never felt so accepted as I did watching the show and in the fandom (here).
I am not exaggerating when I say The Owl House has changed and saved my life.
Eda’s Grudgby Jacket - I was so touched when Luz wore it, and I bought one for myself too, and I love wearing it so much – I always think how proud Eda would be because I'm now living the way she taught Luz.
No, because, as already beautifully described here, these are parts of their journey, and I'm not a fan of simply undoing negative experiences. That's why I also loved that Eda didn't get her magic back and that her lost arm remained lost. It makes it more realistic for me, and I like the idea that our characters, who inspire us, can cope well with negative experiences.
My girl Luz - we are very similar and she has inspired me to be myself.
She is selling Grudgby equipment, not HER Grudgby equipment. Because she is still going to become a professional.
That's how I see it too.
I respect it if someone sees it differently, but I've always seen it this way: Boscha has a happy ending in the end, lives her dream, and owns her own business.
And thank you to @Hawas1983 for describing the world of TOH so aptly. I don't want to downplay bullying, but the Boiling Isles are so much worse and, as Luz herself said, are far from her friendly fantasy. The fact that Eda simply ate an antagonist alive shows what really goes on in the Boiling Isles.
I like them all so much, but Belos is the best.
He is also the one I find most serious; the others I just find funny and silly.
Nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy the series. :-)
Awww Boscha cares so much about Willow. lol
Amity seemed completely uninterested in fixing anything and was only interested in Luz—and how she would become her girlfriend.
Pretty dark when you think about it.
She didn't even try to be a better person than that until Luz.This is something that makes Lumity a bit bitter for me and is mentioned far too little.
Yes, it's nice that your girlfriend Luz is making you a nicer witch, but you could also see it as Amity only changing because she wanted Luz.
So, selfishness because she wants something instead of genuinely improving.
That would have been such a better/more realistic plot – I mean, seriously, your former best friend bullies you for years for fun, making your school life hell, and Willow just doesn't seem to care and immediately trusts Amity again.
YES PEOPLE FINALLY GET IT. She did all of the things she did on her own time although she would probably get punished for being friends with Willow she couldn't have at the very least TOLD HER instead of leaving her in the dark, without any friends, and wondering if she was the problem. She definitely didn't have to bully Willow either like how could she??? I don't know how someone in their right mind would go "oh there's my childhood friend who I'm not allowed to talk to/be friends with i'm just gonna bully them for absolutely no reason"????????
Like I get Odalia was controlling but that's just it CONTROLLING, not some evil person who is a massive jerk to everyone she meets, like i doubt that Odalia even remembered about Willow after that, she probably just said "no she's to poor" or smth and didn't think twice about it
Yes I hate Odalia as much as the next person but it Amity did NOT have to be so mean and just reading to kids doesn't make up for it.
Again I agree.
I respect other people's opinions, but I found it so cruel that Amity started bullying Willow—how on earth did she even come up with that idea? And yes, bullying isn't forgiven just because you read to children. I really wish the show had made the consequences of bullying clearer, shown Willow's pain more, and included an Amity who recognized what she had done.
It's great that you stopped by.
Hope you get everything sorted out – I know how it is with mental health issues – and hope you'll visit again soon.
Fandom has been using Odalia as a scrub brush to clean up Amity. Amity is responsible for some reprehensible behavior towards Luz and especially Willow that she never acknowledged or made up for. Fandom has been attributing Amity's behavior to Odalia being abusive. Odalia was never canonically abusive to any of her offspring. She's a controlling parent and not a particularly good one but she's never done anything that would constitute abuse under the law or would require the intervention of CPS. Odalia being an abusive parent is a headcanon not official canon.
I agree 100% – the same goes for Boscha.
For some reason I don't understand, Odalia and Boscha are forced by some fans to take the blame for Amity's own mistakes so that she appears "innocent".
Oh Titan, how I miss the "good old days" here on The Owl House wiki.
I felt at home here, and now it's over....
That hurts incredibly sometimes.
Happy New Year to you too, and everyone else reading this. 🎉
No - It would be pretty out of character/mean for Willow to want revenge.
Something I would never want to see, and I'm glad that everything was resolved peacefully in canon.
And I agree with that:
Wrong target.
It was Amity who bullied Willow for years. Boscha took over the primary bully role when Amity was reduced to love interest and half of Lumity. Prior to that she was just a tertiary character and a minor member of Amity's posse.
No.
There is no need to restart a feud that was already finished.
It's a rather sad commentary on the state of the fandom of The Owl House. There's no longer any interest here in Dana Terrace and the show and characters she actually created. The fandom here would rather talk about their imagined versions of the show and characters than the canon versions. Small wonder why Dana Terrace wanted to move on and is not looking back. The TOH fandom has always had some difficulty distinguishing between canon and headcanon, but it's true that almost no one is interested in canon anymore. Since the series has considerable weaknesses, I understand this to some extent, but it becomes unpleasant when fights start because the canon is no longer accepted and everyone is only used to their own headcanon.
1/4 moringmark comics
1/4 amity talk
1/4 arguments
1/4 off topicI could talk about Amity all day – she's such an interesting character, even though she has flaws, but it always ends in arguments because so many people can't handle criticism.
I really wish discussions would delve a little deeper into the series instead of always leading to fights and locked threads.
You're not a hater just because you criticize something.
And I'm pretty fed up with the Moring Mark comics.
Yes, some are really good, others are just bad. What bothers me is that, similar to the canon series, there are so many extreme fans who can't stand any criticism and even go so far as to consider the comics canon – this drama is the reason I don't really like the comics much anymore.
So pretty cute!
