Amity Blight's redemption needs recognition

Amity made mistakes, there’s no denying that. But people often make mistakes before they become better. Redemption is a common theme in storytelling, and Amity’s journey fits that pattern.

Zuko betrayed Katara and Iroh and played a role in Aang’s apparent death in crossroads of destiny. He burned Kyoshi Island nearly to ashes and even hired an assassin to kill the Avatar.

Catra betrayed her friends, nearly destroyed Etheria, and caused Angella’s possible death by opening the portal.

Nebula and Gamora helped Ronan and Thanos carry out mass slaughter and killed countless people across multiple planets.

Loki nearly wiped out an entire race and led an alien invasion that killed thousands in New York.

Yet in the end, all of them chose a higher path.

Amity is no different.

She knows she made serious mistakes, bullying Willow and even putting Luz in danger. But instead of denying responsibility or making excuses, she acknowledged her faults and worked to make things right. She helped Willow and Luz defeat Boscha in grudgby, saved Luz’s life, stood up to Odalia to protect her friends from being expelled, and tried to protect Willow in Labyrinth Runners so she wouldn’t lose her again.

Amity didn’t get away with her mistakes, nor did she live a carefree life. Long before Luz entered her life, Amity spent years trapped in a situation she didn’t want. She endured emotional abuse from her mother, constant social pressure, Boscha and Skara’s mean nature , and even bullying from her own siblings. None of this gave her real confidence, it made her afraid. She wasn’t happy, and she didn’t have genuine friends.

Hiding her real self behind a mask of fake confidence and arrogance.

The humiliation she faced after the witch’s duel and in front of her siblings marked the first cracks in the mask she had been forced to wear.

In Understanding Willow , Amity was terrified to confront the painful birthday memory. But when she finally did, she didn’t excuse her actions. She didn’t say, "My parents were awful, so I had the right to bully you.” If she had, Willow would have been hurt even more, and Amity’s redemption would have meant nothing.

Instead, Amity said:

"You were never weak to be my friend. I was weak to be yours.”

That line matters. It shows that she fully accepts responsibility. She understands that, regardless of outside pressure, she still hurt Willow , and that she deserves the blame. She didn’t ask for instant forgiveness; she promised to do better.

Yes, others share some responsibility for how Amity turned out. But that doesn’t erase her accountability. What it does mean is that she deserves a second chance.

Understanding Willow , didn’t just give a her a free jail card , It gave a backstory.

Making mistakes doesn’t mean someone should be punished for the rest of their life.

People change.

At the end of Understanding Willow, Willow doesn’t immediately forgive Amity. She may forgive her eventually, but she doesn’t forget, and that’s realistic. Healing takes time, and the show allows that process to feel real instead of rushed.

That’s what makes Amity’s redemption meaningful.

Believe it or not , I even saw that nuisance Hawas1983 on tumblr doing the same thing , Spreading his false headcanon , Once I replied to him , He said things like " everything he says is canon and he can cite it up from screen time and dialogues from the show and what I say is a False headcanon and wishful thinking " That's how I realized it's actually Hawas1983.

His user name in tumblr was , polygnostico.

He still thinks everything he says is canon and if someone says otherwise is un-canon .

Well Mark is now making comics about Dana's new show called Knights of guinevere which was just started at September 2025.

Feelings ? Sure.

Exaggerated drama as kids like shows such as gravity falls or amphibia ? Nope.

That's what makes them both relatable and realistic.

Makes perfect sense if it's either Dana or Alex.

Alex created gravity falls and worked on The owl house.

Dana created The owl house and now she's working on her new show called Knights of guinevere.

Moringmarkugh started his work by making comics about gravity falls started in 2012.

I mean lots of better shows such as Avatar the last airbender existed back then so out of lots of shows , why Mark went with gravity falls ?

Mark started The owl house comics since 2021 , The year that the cancelation of the show was officially announced.

Dana and Alex both definitely knew the show is going to be cut short before they officially announce it.

So makes sense if they want to undo the damage disney caused this way.

And now , Mark has been releasing new comics about Knights of guinevere since September 2025.

And those comics fit so great with show's storytelling and character writing and even art style , I mean , I mean if it was a fan , A fan could be great in one of these at least , but all of those things at the same ? I found that hard to believe.

And they must be using a different user name for the account because of right/ ownership rules so disney couldn't sue them.

Or it could be someone they knew , like they make the art and giving it to this moringmarkugh to release it.

Even if they break up , It won't be permanent , Besides, They're kids , it's not like kids love relationships could get super complicated

Uhh , the same people who also say ridiculous things like " The show was good before the gay stuff " or " It was all lgbt and kissing to the very end " or " The the whole show became pushing lumity " , that kind of moronic things , Those people are just being extremely homophobic .

The romance like Lumity was just a subplot , just like any other romance in almost every animated show like Kataang from avatar , Not something absolutely necessary to advance the story or characters or their developments , Kisses exist in every animated show out there , Those haters just mad because it's between 2 girls in here .

Those people either didn't understand or see the story at all or they're just stupid.

With the knowledge I have about them , It's not like they break up or something , at least permanently , Besides , They're kids , the romance between kids is not something super complicated

Avatar the last airbender ? Definitely.

James Cameron avatar ? You wish.
