There's nothing rushed about Lumity.
Their relationship grows naturally out of mutual love, respect, and understanding. It feels like planting a seed and nurturing it with care until it finally blooms.
Luz showed Amity kindness and honesty when no one else did. She was the first person who truly saw Amity on the inside and showed her that being imperfect and vulnerable is okay. Luz helped her stop being afraid of who she truly wanted to become. She inspired the version of herself Amity always wished she could be. Luz simply finds her way into people’s hearts.
Amity spent her entire life under the control of an abusive mother who forced her to bury her true self. Her redemption began with major turning points such as the humiliation after the witches duel and the embarrassment in front of her siblings. These moments pushed her to grow. She was never truly a bully. She was shaped into one. Luz inspired her to fight for the identity she truly wanted and deserved.
Amity’s courage in finally standing up to her mother was a huge step in her redemption and it saved Luz in the process.
That moment changed things for Luz as well. She thought about it deeply and felt many mixed emotions for the first time in her life beyond simple happiness such as confusion wonder and even a little shame. It marked a turning point in her maturity. She also began realizing how much she shared with Amity from Azura books to struggles with identity.
Luz also started having some feelings for her since the first time she saw her reading books for children and even the Grom dance had a significant impact.
This is not rushed at all.
They also had their own bonding and emotional moments before officially becoming canon :

Also , In Labyrinth runners we can see Luz is texting things quickly to Amity when she needed someone to talk to.
In clouds of the horizon , She wanted to stay with Eda but she chose to go and save Amity which shows Amity challenges Luz indirectly and how much she's important to her.
So yeah , Calling their love forced is just moronic.
A perfect enemies to friends trope which led to a perfect friends to lovers trope.
That's what I call , A perfect enemies to lovers trope.
So good we have Moringmarkugh from Instagram to continue their story for us. He has been expanding the shows story since January 2021 and fixing the damage Disney caused.
He's likely to be either Dana Terrace or Alex Hirsch , Makes perfect sense since those comics fit so great with show's storytelling and character writing and even art style.
