1. Rachel Zegler is the star of this movie.
2. The CGI/Animation looks unappealing.
3. It's a remake of Snow White (Disney's very first animated movie).
4. It's a painfully obvious cash-grab & nothing else.
5. Since 2022, Disney stopped doing good.

This is random. Also I believe this is my first post (Not comment) on here. ANYWAY
I was listening to Hamilton last night- why does the Collector fit so well with "You'll be back"? like- with him singing it.
On May 12th, 1945, a little book was published. World War II had ended in Europe only 4 days prior, and as if to signal the end of the dreadful war years, here comes this little book with colorful illustrations of trains. What's more, these trains had faces! The book was called "The Three Railway Engines", and it was only the first in a series of books that would come to be known as "The Railway Series".
Years later, in 1984, The Railway Series would be adapted for television, starring perhaps its most famous character, Thomas the Tank Engine.
Today marks 80 years since that first book was published, 80 years since the Thomas the Tank Engine franchise began. And one thing you may not know is, Thomas wasn't even in this first book! The titular "three railway engines" were Edward, Gordon and Henry. Thomas didn't debut until the second book in 1946! But for a lot of people, myself included, these stories have been a big part of our lives.
So, on the 80th anniversary, I would just like to say, thank you Edward, Gordon, Henry, Thomas, James, Percy, Toby, Duck, Oliver, Donald and Douglas, Daisy, Mavis, BoCo... heck, I could go on and on. Thank you all for being such a big part of both mine and many others' lives. And thank you as well to the people who made it possible, to the Rev. Wilbert Awdry for creating these stories, and his son Christopher for inspiring him to make these stories and years later carrying on writing the books after his father retired. And to Britt Allcroft and David Mitton, who made the television series possible and in doing so made Thomas a household name around the world. Wilbert, Britt and David have all since passed on, but I'm sure they'd all be happy to know that 80 years after these stories debuted, they still mean a lot to so many people.
I'm sorry if I may be getting a bit too mushy here, it's just that much like with TOH, these characters have come to be a big part of my life, and I just want to do them justice on this 80th anniversary.
Happy 80 years to Thomas and his friends, and everyone who has helped to make the Island of Sodor such a special place!
Friends:
wow i haven't really been on here much in a few weeks/months i've been much busier and i haven't been able to go on fandom as much as i used to
anyways here's the art:
new version (the shading looks kinda weird in some places but if you don't look too hard it looks fine):
old version:
So my dream last night was....
Vivid
Like
Wow
So basically someone in my dream told me I was gonna die soon (which multiple sources have stated that it could be a fear of being threatened which... isn't wrong)
And then I proceeded to have a panic attack within the dream and then wake up later feeling the after-effects of a panic attack almost like I physically had a panic attack while I was sleeping
Ok bye I'm gonna leave for several months again /hj
you'll get a song from my playlist. it's ordered in most recent added just so yk
hii guys i haven't been on here for a while but i hope some of my friends are still here
anyway a lot happened in this... almost one year of inactivity... wow... i'd be lying if i'd say i'm good ad everything has been great because it has not. i've got diagnosed with schizophrenia and have to take antipsychotics. i've also dropped out of school again because i just couldn't handle it mentally
not everything was bad tho, i've made friends irl and i love them, they're my world and what makes me happy. i've also continued transitioning, to the point where i just don't need to worry about passing anymore. i also had ffs (facial feminization surgery) 3 days ago and am recovering from it. it's honestly painful but i feel like it's totally worth it
i hope all of you are doing well, i rly missed you but tbh didn't know how to just start talking again after months of nothing from my side
friend pings (i hope i'm not annoying you)
In 1983, a test pilot was made for Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, based on the story "Down the Mine" from The Railway Series books. The pilot enabled the show to be greenlit, making way for the Thomas TV show that everyone knows. Yet the pilot itself remained lost... until today.
Today, on May 9th, 2025, Mattel, which owns the rights to Thomas, released to the public for the first time a reconstruction of the original test pilot using restored original footage!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esi1J2Q_WVM
For us Thomas fans, this is a HUGE deal! We'd all heard of the "lost pilot" and here it is! Enthusiasts of lost media should also consider this a huge find, although it wasn't "lost" in the sense that no one could find it, it was just laying in the archives for the past 40 years.
Ian McCue, a producer on the television series, produced this reconstruction of the pilot and Mike O'Donnell, one of the series' original composers, returned to compose a new score for it. But perhaps most touching, I think, is that it was dedicated to Britt Allcroft, the creator of the television series who sadly passed away this past December. Releasing this pilot is a great way to honor her memory and express our thanks for the woman who made this all possible.
All the more momentous as this month marks the 80th anniversary of the Thomas franchise beginning, with the publication of the first Railway Series book in 1945. I can really think of no better way to mark both the franchise's 80th anniversary and honor the memory of Britt Allcroft.
So, to put it simply, Thomas fans, and lost media enthusiasts too, are eating good today.

Some of you may remember when I did a Titanic drawing on the anniversary of that ship's sinking:
https://theowlhouse.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000205300
Well, I'm back with another drawing, as today marks 110 years since the liner Lusitania was torpedoed and sunk off the coast of Ireland during the First World War.
Again, I don't think it's that good, I butchered the proportions again, it's always that that trips me up the most.
Still, I wanted to do my bit to commemorate the "Lucy", as she was known in her glory days.
If you want to learn more about the Lusitania and its sinking, there's always Wikipedia:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Lusitania
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinking_of_the_RMS_Lusitania
1,198 people were killed when the R.M.S. Lusitania was sunk on May 7th, 1915. Many of them were civilians, and their deaths remain a lasting reminder of the brutality of war. May they rest in peace.
