Crossover plot

On the Boiling Isles, Luz is reading Philip Wittebane's diary, checking out his twenty-third attempt to open a portal to Earth with Eda's supervision. Eda asks what they have so far, to which Luz answers that there is a spell with little chance of working that will return her to the Human Realm. Eda is excited and wants to make it work; Luz warns her that they must be very careful due to the instability of the spell, but she doesn't heed her warning in time. Luz and Eda are pulled into a blue portal, and end up outside Amphibia, deep in Wartwood Swamp.

There, Anne and the Plantars are looking for ingredients for dinner. Hop Pop mentions that he wants to make a swamp soufflé, much to the chagrin of the kids. Polly goes for one of the ingredients and plucks a strange-looking mushroom, but she actually pulls the nose of a hideous badger, with bug eyes and jaws, that ends up popping out of the ground to attack them, forcing them to run away.

Some ways away, Luz and Eda come through the portal, with Eda believing they are in the Human Realm and suggesting to look for the nearest city, but at that moment, they hear a strange noise. Anne, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop come running out of the forest; Anne trips over Luz, and they both fall to the ground. Hop Pop, confused, asks who they are. Sprig and Polly are surprised to see "another Anne", and Eda thinks that the "giant frog people" is due to the effects of apple blood. Anne helps Luz up, and they are both surprised to see each other. Luz and Anne introduce themselves, but Eda interrupts to warn them of the badger. Luz steps forward and pulls out some glyphs from her pocket, slamming a plant glyph on the ground, trapping the beast. Surprised, Anne and the Plantars help Luz defeat the badger. Anne hits it in the leg with her racket, while Sprig throws Polly towards the badger with her slingshot, hitting it in the eye. The defeated badger crawls off into the woods; Luz, Anne, Sprig, and Polly stand up, looking like total bosses, with an uncomfortable Eda and Hop Pop having done nothing.

Anne tells Luz that she looks like a magician, and she mentions that she is some kind of witch and originally came from the human world. Polly asks her what she's doing there, and Luz says she is looking for a way to get home. Both humans have questions for each other, and Anne excitedly wants to have a sleepover with Luz. At that, Sprig points out that the portal is closing, and Luz hurriedly tells Anne that they have to leave. She gets sad, but Luz tells her that in another life, they can have that sleepover. Eda grabs her and takes her to the portal, and she bids farewell to Anne, who assures her that they will both find their way back home. Eda and Luz go through the portal, and it closes. Anne and the Plantars are stunned, with Anne pondering the fact that she and Luz have been through the same events. Hop Pop, seeing that the soufflé can no longer be made, decides that they will go to Stumpy's for dinner, but can't find his wallet.

Back in the Boiling Isles, Luz is left brooding about Anne, saddened that she didn't even get something to remember her by. However, Eda reveals that there is something, since she stole Hop Pop's wallet. Luz wants to open the portal to return it, but Eda wishes to do it another day. Near the Owl House, Amity is practicing talking to Luz to Tinella Nosa, trying to get over the kiss. She feels insecure, and doesn't know whether to do it. When they notice that Luz and Eda are in the distance, Amity chooses to avoid talking to Luz.
