Angmar is a minor character of The Owl House. He is a student at Glandus High under the plant track.
Appearance[]
Body[]
Angmar is short, has goldenrod skin, brown claws on his hands, a pink nose, small fangs, and eyes containing small black pupils within a blue sclera. His left eye is covered by a tuft of blonde hair, which is covered in turn by his cap. He has a tail with a barb-like tip that ends in the same brown as his claws. Additionally, there is a white bandage on his lower left cheek.
Clothing[]
He only appears wearing the Glandus High uniform: a gray tunic with dark gray trims, matching boots, and green sleeves and leggings identifying him as a student in Glandus' plant track. He also wears a gray cap with green cylinder-sided ear covers that Glandus students wear.
Personality[]
Angmar is the most reserved and quietest member of the trio, but whimsical at the same time. He's easily distracted by any bug he sees, as he has an interest in entomology. However, like most Glandus students, he judges others solely on their strength in magic thus underestimating people.
Background[]
Angmar is a student in Glandus High's plant track and is part of a group of students consisting of himself, Gavin, Bria, and Mattholomule. When he and his group made their debut, they use their respective magics to stop a Slitherbeast from running over Braxas. Gus is impressed by their abilities and goes up to talk with them, and the three Glandus students introduce themselves. Mattholomule then shows up with a map to the Galdorstones, power-enhancing relics that can greatly boost a witch's magical power, and at the suggestion of Luz, Bria allows Gus to join her group on the journey to the Looking Glass Ruins.
The five set out and the others are impressed with Gus's supposed magic. When finding the Ruins, he is distracted by a bug until Bria threatens to make him eat it if he does not stand watch. After learning what the true purpose of the Ruins is, being a graveyard for illusionists, they trap Gus and the Keeper of the Looking Glass Graveyard and continue looting. After Mattholomule frees Gus and the Keeper, Angmar is lured away with an illusion of a butterfly.
He is seen with Gavin watching the Coven Day Parade and is astonished when Emperor Belos declares the Day of Unity to be a month away.
Powers and abilities[]
- Magic: Angmar is able to use magic. Like all witches or biped demons, his connection to magic comes from a sac of magic bile attached to his heart.
- Plant magic: Angmar is skilled in plant magic. He has the ability to summon plant vines from the grounds to form nets and roots to restrain people.

Trivia[]
- His name may be based on the realm "Angmar" from The Lord of the Rings.
- Angmar may have been inspired by the demon Beleth from Christian mythos. Beleth is a cat-like demon that commands eighty-five legions of demons, while Angmar is a cat-like creature that also commands some form of natural life (albeit flora rather than fauna).
- He likes butterflies and hopes to open his own sanctuary for them.
