"Back to the Swamp" is the fifth The Owl House Chibi Tiny Tales short, and the eleventh Amphibia Chibi Tiny Tales short, serving as a crossover between the two. It premiered on March 30, 2024 on Disney Channel's YouTube channel.
Synopsis[]
It's time to jump for joy and hoot to the heavens because the "The Owl House" and "Amphibia" crews are Back to the Swamp and together again for another epic crossover!
Plot[]
Luz is working on a portal door as Eda and King watch when it activates. The trio walk through it and after seeing the wildlife, Luz comes to the conclusion that they're not on Earth. It turns out they're in Amphibia, and who should they come across but Anne Boonchuy, the Plantar family, and her friends, Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu! Following introductions, everyone mingles with Eda and Sasha having an arm-wrestling contest, Marcy and King playing a board game, Polly using Hooty as a jump rope, and Luz and Anne displaying their kinds of magic (in fact, the whole Calamity trio uses their powers the entire time.) As time passes, the portal door gradually gets smaller indicating it will close soon. When Luz notices, she tears up and decides it's time for her and her friends to return to the Demon Realm. She and Anne share one last hug and the Owl House inhabitants step through the portal. However, King waves goodbye one last time and as a result, his skull gets caught in the door and is left in Amphibia, to everyone's shock.

Trivia[]
- This is the third crossover between Amphibia and The Owl House and the second Chibi Tiny Tales short to do so, following the 2021 crossover from San Diego Comic-Con and the Chibi Tiny Tales episode "The Amphibia House".
- Notably, all three share a premise of characters travel to the setting of another show. Both the episode and the crossover panel involve the Owl House characters visiting Amphibia, while "The Amphibia House" features these roles inverted.
- King's appearance without his skull at the end was inspired by the concept sketch made by Dana Terrace.[2][3]
