- "The Chibi Couple Game" marks the sixth time that Luz and Amity have kissed after "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", "Follies at the Coven Day Parade", "Clouds on the Horizon", "Watching and Dreaming" and "Lumity Date".
- This also marks the second time they kiss on the lips, after "Clouds on the Horizon".
Allusions to The Owl House[]
- "The Great Chibi Mix-Up!"
- When Luz first appears, a rendition of The Owl House Main Title Theme plays.
- Luz says that "classic best friend mix-up situations" happen, referring to the events of "Once Upon a Swap".
- "The Chibi Couple Game"
- Luz and Amity fly to their podium on Stringbean.
- Luz and Amity announce "Lumity" as their power couple name, referring to a fandom nickname for the Amity Blight–Luz Noceda relationship which was previously mentioned in "Thanks to Them" and in the Chibi Tiny Tales short "Lumity Date" (which aired immediately after the power couple segment).
- Luz bakes Amity a "fresh-baked fairy pie" as the latter's favorite food, in reference to Amity's gift to Luz upon returning to Hexside in "Escaping Expulsion".
- In response, Amity calls Luz "batata," a term of endearment first used in "Follies at the Coven Day Parade".
- At the end, Willow kisses Hunter on the cheek, referring to their relationship.
Errors[]
- "Pizza vs. Fireworks":
- Due to technical difficulties, the episode's premiere in the Eastern Time Zone did not air in its entirety.
- Eda is able to use magic, despite being in her Season 2 outfit.
- "The Chibi Quiz Challenge"
- Mae Whitman was mistakenly not credited as Amity in the ending credits.[3]
- Luz and Amity concur with Star and Marco that they first were friends before falling in love. This is incorrect as Amity was introduced as an antagonist to Luz in "I Was a Teenage Abomination" and only started to improve her behavior after the events of "Lost in Language".
