The Fire Bee is a species of fauna native to the Boiling Isles. They are similar in appearance to the human realm's honeybees, but generate fire.
Appearance[]
Fire Bees are very similar in appearance to the real-world honeybee and share many characteristics such as an insectoid appearance, fuzzy thorax, large compound eyes, and a stinger-tipped striped abdomen. However, unlike honeybees, fire bees only have two pairs of legs, one pair of wings, a predominantly orange color scheme and a flame shaped strip of hair on their head. Their get their names due to their bodies being literally on fire.

Fire Bees are social insects and are usually seen travelling in large swarms. Their habitats can be found in the woodlands of the Boiling Isles. Like honeybees, Fire Bees are colonial insects and produce their own honey; they tend to be aggressive and territorial, attacking any intruder that gets too close to their colony. The bees primarily attack by stabbing intruders with their sharp stingers, which can penetrate wood, and burn said intruders with their fire.
While they are dangerous creatures, witches and demons have found practical uses for fire bees. withces in the Beast Keeping coven, such as Gwendolyn Clawthorne, can control swarms of Fire Bees with their magic. Ice magic can also be used to subdue them. Because their bodies are alight with fire, live Fire Bees can be used to make campfires and provide heat and light in dark areas. Fire Bee honey is also a potion ingredient; it is a key ingredient for a scrying potion, and when added to Blabber Serum before it has finished brewing, it will become a potion capable of transforming people into monsters.
