Hexes Hold'em is a popular card game played by Witches on the Boiling Isles. While the name suggests that it is a variant of Poker, the game itself plays like a typical fantasy-based trading card game. Unlike Human card games, however, Hexes Hold'em employs actual magic as part of the gameplay.

Overview[]

Each player has their own deck from which they lay out five cards to battle the cards of their opponent. The cards then animate and do battle. While the outcome of the hand will likely be determined by the relative strengths of the cards played, each player can introduce special cards to shift the odds in their favor, with the wild card being the most powerful. Playing the wild card appears to result in an instant victory. The game has been shown played by two players, but there are likely variations allowing for greater numbers of opponents.
