Fortune Teller Witch

An unnamed fortune telling witch and member of the Oracle Coven. She is a tall witch with violet hair and large eyes. She offers for King to join the Oracle Coven with a pen in the episode, "Covention". She is voiced by Grey DeLisle.

Unnamed blue-haired student[]

An unnamed blue-haired student at Hexside. He is a witch with blue curly hair, and wears a Hexside uniform with light blue sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the illusion track. He officially joins the Illusion Coven during the covention event, which results in him receiving a sigil. He is later seen attending a speakers' event for King's book, Ruler's Reach, along with Amelia.

He returns in a non-speaking role in the epilogue, where Alador successfully manages to remove his coven sigil.

He is voiced by Alex Hirsch.

Thin Hexside student

An unnamed thin student at Hexside. He has a tall stature, brown bobbed hair and eyes, and wears a Hexside uniform with orange sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the beast keeping track. He first bullies another student when he levitates his backpack away but gets caught by the Hexside Guards and is taken to the detention pit as punishment. He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

An unnamed oracle track student at Hexside. He is a tall, hefty witch with brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses with purple sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the oracle track. He is voiced by Arin Hanson.

Mary

Mary[1] is a student at Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. She has periwinkle curly hair, dark skin, off-gold eyes, and two ram-like horns on her head. She wears a headband and a Hexside uniform with orchid sleeves and leggings that indicate she is in the abomination track. She owns a ram palisman and is part of Professor Hermonculus' grudgby team. She is voiced by Eden Riegel.

An unnamed bespectacled witch who works as a librarian at the front desk of the Bonesborough Library. He also participated at the covention staffing the Cat Coven, implying this to be his coven. He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.

Jon De Plume[]

John de plume

Jon De Plume is an author in the Boiling Isles who worked under Piniet, before being squared by the same for not meeting his deadlines. He has a shaved head with a green mohawk swept to his right, fair skin with a thin mustache with some additional facial hair on his chin, while wearing round, purple sunglasses, a blue jacket with a light blue sweater underneath, and a red scarf. The name "Jon De Plume" is a play on the phrase "Nom De Plume", which is French for "pen name". He is voiced by Jake Green.

Boscha's mother[]

Them's the Breaks, Kid - 230

The unnamed mother of Boscha is a married witch who lives in Bonesborough with her partner and Boscha. While she is never seen in present day, as a child, Boscha's mother resembled Boscha but with pink hair and green eyes. She was in the potions track at Hexside.[3]

Background

Boscha is seen talking to her mother on a crow phone asking about her Moonlight Conjuring in "Hooty's Moving Hassle". Odalia and Alador Blight forced Amity to hang out with Boscha because her parents were their business partners. According to Dana Terrace, Odalia has had a rivalry with Boscha's mother since childhood, and they still try to one up each other through their daughters' accomplishments.[4]

  • When Boscha's mother first appears in "Them's the Breaks, Kid", she is seen with another potions track student with hair the same color as Boscha's, which suggested they were Boscha's other parent. When asked about the students in the flashback, Rebecca Bozza confirmed the girl was Boscha's mother, but could not confirm the other student was related to Boscha.[3]

Prim[]

Prim

Prim is a witch who lives in Bonesborough. She owns a thread store in the Night Market that Eda went to for witch's wool. While Prim was originally covenless and part of the demon hunters as seen in "Hooty's Moving Hassle", she grew concerned about the rumors of wild magic spread by Belos. She would eventually relent to joining the Oracle Coven, reluctantly closing her store down and barring Eda from shopping anymore since she was recognized as a criminal. She is voiced by Kimberly Brooks.

Unnamed Healing Coven witch[]

An unnamed witch is a member of the Healing Coven. After Eda was cursed, Gwendolyn Clawthorne called them in hopes that they could cure her daughter. However, the witch, as well as their coven, had never seen a curse such as Eda's, and were unable to do anything, only giving Eda a gem to indicate when the Owl Beast is coming to the surface. Decades later, the witch is shown working with a team to remove coven sigils.

Evelyn[]

Evelyn was an unknown witch who became acquainted to Philip and Caleb Wittebane, and an ancestor of the Clawthorne family.[5] According to Gravesfield legend, Evelyn was the one who brought Caleb to the Demon Realm and later Philip sometime around 1613; although the nature of her interaction was described as malevolent by Philip and the town, memories in Philip's mind instead show the two to have been close. While the relationship between Caleb and Evelyn started out as platonic curiosity, the two eventually became romantically involved and at some point she gave birth to an unidentified child. Their relationship made its way into the legends of Gravesfield. Philip also insinuated she was connected to Flapjack.

What happened to her after Caleb's death is currently unknown, but given that she lived 400 years before the events of the series, it is most likely that she is deceased.

Spider teacher[]

Spider Teacher

The unnamed spider teacher is a bug demon who works in the Hexside faculty as the kindergarten teacher. According to Hooty's demon board, she is a "hybrid demon", although it is not known what species she is a hybrid of. She was turned into a puppet by the Collector's spies. She is voiced by Kimberly Brooks in her first appearance and by Eden Riegel in subsequent appearances.

Illusion teacher[]

The unnamed illusion teacher is an instructor at Hexside who teaches the students of the illusion track. She is a husky biped demon with periwinkle skin and purple hair, a set of horns, three orchid eyes, and a pointed tail. She wears a large shawl-beret that covers her entire head as well as a dark gray dress with white slippers.

She sometimes assists Principal Bump with his duties, such as track switching. She was later turned into a puppet by the Collector's spies.

In the epilogue, it is revealed that upon Bump's retirement from the position, she has become the new principal of Hexside.

She is voiced by Grey DeLisle in her first speaking appearance and by Rachael MacFarlane in her next appearance.

The unnamed detention teacher is an instructor at Hexside who is in charge of the students in the detention track. He is a pale, blue-skinned demon with white hair and a mustache, an oblong-shaped head, and six eyes covered by three pairs of red glasses. He was among those turned into puppets by the Collector's spies. He is difficult to wake up when he's asleep. He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

Oracle teacher[]

The First Day - A1131

The oracle teacher is a teacher at Hexside who teaches the students of the oracle track. They are a goat-like demon with brown hair and white or gray skin. When a basilisk disguises as a school inspector to attack Hexside, they attempt to fight back, but their magic is drained, leaving them weakened. Their magic is later restored when Luz, Barcus, Viney, and Jerbo defeat the basilisk. The oracle teacher takes part in the Day of Unity, only to fall victim to the effects of the Draining Spell. They try to escape, but are sealed in by Abomaton 2.0s. During the Collector's takeover, they are seen having been turned into a puppet.

An unnamed student who is a member of the Human Appreciation Society. He is a goat-like biped demon with one eye and one horn, and has a Hexside uniform with red sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the bard track. He participated in the election for the new president of the H.A.S. but declared himself an undecided voter. He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

An unnamed Hexside student is a biped demon with a bird-like appearance. He wears a Hexside uniform that has purple sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the oracle track. After he briefly cameos in two episodes, he first appears with a tall witch picking on another student by taking their backpack away, which attracts the attention of the Hexside Guards, and is taken to the detention pit as punishment. He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

An unnamed pig student is a biped demon who is a student at Hexside. He has a pig-like appearance and wears a Hexside uniform that has orange sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the beast keeping track. In one of his appearances, he is bullied by other students who steal his backpack before all three of them are caught by the Hexside Guards and taken to the detention pit, despite his innocence. He also appears to be a fan of Amity, cheering for her during her duel with Luz. He is voiced by Grey DeLisle.

An unnamed bat-eared student is a biped demon who is a student at Hexside. He is a bat-like biped demon with brown skin and blonde hair and has a Hexside uniform with orange sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the beast keeping track. He made an elaborate proposal to Skara to be his date to Grom. He is voiced by Arin Hanson in his first appearance, and by Kimberly Brooks in subsequent appearances.

Unnamed spike-headed student[]

An unnamed student is a biped demon who is a student at Hexside. He has a bulbous head with spikes on it and his Hexside uniform has orchid sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the abomination track. He was Cat's date at Grom. He acquired a sloth palisman during Palisman Adoption Day after he stated his goal was simply to complete Hexside and graduate. His Penstagram username is shown to be "friendly_neighborhood_pointyhead". He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

Unnamed beast student[]

An unnamed beast student is a biped demon who is a student at Hexside. They are a bestial biped demon with brown fur, long fang-like tusks, and wear a Hexside uniform with green sleeves and leggings that indicate they are in the plant track. They are first seen in the group of students touring the covention with Lilith and laugh at the memory Eda shares with the group. They are also seen on the board in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" as an example of a biped demon.

Ukla[]

Ukla

Ukla is a student from Glandus High. She is a reptilian biped demon with purple-colored skin and magenta-colored hair in the shape of a mohawk. She has a beak-like mouth and ears, both of which have a jagged appearance, and two crossed bandage strips on the left side of her head. She also has a small tail with a fin at the end and gold eyes. Her Glandus High uniform has a dark brown cowl and leggings as part of the construction track. She has a flying fish palisman. She is voiced by Grey DeLisle.

History

Ukla competed in the grudgby team that faced against the Hexside Banshees, at the time led by Amity. She and her team ultimately lost the match when Amity summoned thorny vines to make the winning score, albeit injuring her own teammates in the process. In present day, Ukla took part in the Gland Prix competition along with Luz, Gavin, and various other students from Hexside, Glandus High, and St. Epiderm. She and Luz raced towards the finishing line closely together, with Luz narrowly beating her by a short interval, making Ukla come in sixth.

After the Day of Unity, Ukla becomes a puppet and is placed in the Archive House. She is returned to normal after Belos is defeated.

The unnamed mother of Ukla is a biped demon. She resembles her daughter, but has longer hair and lighter skin. She wears a tan dress and has her hair tied in a bun. She is voiced by Kari Wahlgren.

Garlog is a small rabbit-like beast demon with one eye. He was sought for by Luz and King, the latter of whom nearly ate Garlog until Luz made him spit him out for the bounty. He is voiced by André Sogliuzzo.

Abominable Cutie Pie is a small pig-like beast demon with bat wings. He was another one to be captured by Luz for a bounty other than Garlog. He was last seen when he show a pity for Clawthorne sisters until he was pushed off the statue of Emperor Belos by King. He is voiced by Matt Chapman.

Red Fang

Green Fang, Red Fang, and Blue Fang were three biped demons from the Deadwardian Era. The brothers were identical green-skinned cyclopian demons, each with a colored fang to identify themselves. Blue Fang perished while helping Philip Wittebane recover the Collector's tablet; his tooth and palisman were commandeered by Philip. When their brother did not return to Bonesborough, Green Fang and Red Fang confronted Philip about it and threatened to burn his diary until Luz Noceda intervened. Green Fang is voiced by Christopher Swindle and Red Fang is voiced by Gary Anthony Williams.

III and IV are two Basilisks who were created and imprisoned by Belos and the Emperor's Coven, alongside Vee. They managed to escape with Vee from the Emperor's Coven before going into hiding. They are later both seen in the epilogue to "Watching and Dreaming" at the University of Wild Magic, with III seen playing Eda's bell cittern.

Principal Hal is the principal of the Gravesfield High School. He has dark brown skin, curly gray hair and a mustache, and wore a yellow shirt with a tie. After Luz gets in trouble for a series of incidents terrifying the student body, Hal calls her mother, Camila, to set Luz straight. However, he is attacked by a snake that was involved with Luz's book assignment, which prompts Camila to send her to Reality Check Summer Camp for the summer. During the following Halloween, he attended the festival celebrations in Old Gravesfield. He is voiced by Keith Ferguson.

Teresa Palmer is a resident of Gravesfield. She once encountered Eda Clawthorne while in line at Robin's Roast Café. Eda tried to make Teresa let her cut in line, which Teresa responded to with a firm "No". This led Eda to enchant all the books and pastries in the café, causing them to come to life and attack all the other patrons. Teresa was later interviewed about the incident by the Gravesfield Reporter.

Polly Shulman is a 6 year old resident of Gravesfield. She was present at Robin's Roast Café when Eda brought all the books and pastries to life and caused them to attack all the other patrons. Unlike everyone else, who were frightened or angered by the incident, Polly was wondered by Eda's magic. Later speaking with the Gravesfield Reporter, Polly said how she "liked the funny magician" and how she "want[ed] her to come to my birthday. I want her to make everyone go crazy".

A human who attended Reality Check Summer Camp with Vee while she was impersonating Luz. He has dark skin and black hair which obscures the view of his eyes. He and Vee became friends during their time at camp and continued to hang out once returning to Gravesfield. He is voiced by Zeno Robinson.

Mildred Featherwhyle is the author of the fantasy novel series The Good Witch Azura. When the books ended up on the Boiling Isles, they were found by Tibbles, who decided to start a scam, completely changing Mildred's profile from a human to a witch in order to sell them on the Isles, with Tinella Nosa even impersonating her in events. However, the scam ended up being a failure with only one buyer, Amity Blight.

An unnamed girl is a student at Gravesfield High School and classmate of Luz. She has short blonde hair in the shape of a widow's peak with a pink streak running across. Her design was inspired by a prototype drawing for Amity from the series' development.[6] She participated in cheerleading and theater tryouts at the same time as Luz, where she was appalled by Luz's eccentric antics in each. Months later in the fall semester, she was sitting in front of Luz when Luz had an outburst about the book's topic in English class.

Mr. Sandoval is an English teacher at Gravesfield High School. He has tan skin and gray hair with facial stubble and wears a black shirt with a gray stripe, blue jeans, and glasses. In class, he gives a lecture about the book The Plight of the Mariner and the hero's growth. Mr. Sandoval tries to address the hero's hardships as beneficial in the long run before Luz jumps into a speech about the hero, criticizing him bringing disaster in a veiled beratement of herself, leaving Sandoval and the other students stunned and confused. He is voiced by Stephen Sandoval.

Unnamed art teacher[]

The unnamed teacher is the head of an Art class at Gravesfield High School. She is an elderly woman with dark skin and dark gray hair, and wears large purple glasses, a white t-shirt with a cat and a moon symbol, a long purple skirt, a light brown sweater with leaves symbols, and a large crescent moon shaped earning hanging down her left ear. Like most residents of Gravesfield, the Art teacher is shown to despise Luz for her eccentric behavior and antics, with it being subtly implied that Luz's unorthodox art projects often disrupted her class. Luz encounters the teacher while walking past the Art room following Mr. Sandoval's English class. When the teacher notices Luz outside the door, she immediately gives a condescending and suspicious glare while sipping from a coffee mug, to which Luz somberly ignores.

He invites Luz to the Halloween Hayride after commending her criticism in English class. The two then volunteer at the festival with Masha, where they help provide the ride's special effects. Unlike most residents of Gravesfield, the student is very friendly towards Luz and shows respect and admiration for her eccentric talents and creativity. After listening to her speech during Mr. Sandoval's English class, the student walks up to her alongside their friend to introduce themselves to her. They invite Luz to the Haunted Hayride for Halloween after commending her criticism in English class. The two volunteer at the festival with Masha where they help provide the ride's special effects. They are voiced by August Forman.

Maya

Maya is the palisman of Boscha. She resembles a red crab with yellow spikes on the top segment of her shell. The top part of her claws is light orange while the bottom is the same color as her shell. Her left claw has a visible crack. Her eyes are located on her claws, with her eyes always being closed, showing dark brown eyelids with two diagonal white spike patterns on each eye. She has four small legs which form the base of her dark brown staff.

Abandoned by her original owner, Maya was taken in by the Bat Queen. During the palisman adoption event, Boscha expressed her desire to be the best grudgby player, and Maya resonated with her desire for competition. Originally, Boscha didn't want a second-hand palisman, but upon bonding with Maya, she considered her new palisman cool.

An unnamed manticore is the palisman of Viney. They resemble an orange lion with golden mane, but with small bat wings and a beige scorpion tail in place of hindquarters and have a black stripe across their right eye.

An unnamed cricket is the palisman of Skara. They appear to be a black cricket with red eyes and hind legs.

Yellow Cardinal

Toast is a yellow cardinan palisman belonging to Dell Clawthorne. Much like Flapjack, they resemble a cardinal and have yellow feathers, bushy eyebrows, and a brown face with a scar on their beak.

  • The name of Dell's palisman was not stated within the series. However, during a Q&A panel at Momocon 2024, Dana Terrace revealed the name of the palisman as being "Toast".[8]

Red fox[]

An unnamed red fox is the palisman of Raine Whispers. They appear to be a little fox with brownish red fur with clearer bits on their underbelly and tail tip.

According to Dana Terrace, the palisman can also assume the form of a violin to better fit into its owner's magic specialty, appearing as the instrument's scroll.[9] They finally appeared in their staff form with Raine in the epilogue.

  • Prior to its official debut as Raine's palisman, the violin was broken twice in the series, "Eda's Requiem" and "Watching and Dreaming". When posed the question about the palisman's status, Terrace suggested that either Hunter and Dell recreated the palisman or its fox head survived both cases and it was later fixed up.[9]

Gildersnake[]

Gildersnake

The Gildersnake is an antagonist in the fantasy series The Good Witch Azura. He is a long serpent monster that has black scales with purple scales underneath. He has glowing yellow eyes and two light gray horns that are facing outward. While he seems very imposing, the Gildersnake is very overconfident, which causes him to be easily defeated by Azura due to his weakness - perishing. He is voiced by Alex Hirsch.

Background

The Gildersnake's only appearance was in a fantasy sequence by Luz Noceda, where she recalled the serpent's battle against Azura. Though the Gildersnake claimed he could easily swallow the good witch whole, he would perish shortly after being exposed to his one weakness: dying. Luz used a live green snake to represent the Gildersnake for her book report, and had backup snakes that terrorized her classmates. Said green snake attacks the Azura doll and Principal Hal.

Villainous Lucy[]

Villainous Lucy

Villainous Lucy is an antagonist in the Good Witch Azura series. She is a sorceress with short black-purple hair and a scar on her left eyebrow and wears a multi-colored garment. She appears in the film Good Witch Azura the Movie 2: The Betrayanning as the film's main villain. In the scene where she fights Azura for Hecate, Azura reveals she was originally Azura's ally who betrayed them, to which Lucy proclaimed was for the greater good. She is voiced by Kari Wahlgren.

Lucy resembles an older version of Luz, her robe even sharing a color scheme with Luz' Hexside uniform. She also possesses a curved scar on the left side of her face which is very similar to Luz's, but much longer, with it running down across her eye. This, along with the character's insistence that her evil deeds were "for a greater good" causes Luz - who herself believed she was doing good, only to be tricked by Belos - to see a parallel between her and Lucy, which only enhances her feelings of guilt, made worse when Azura swears that Lucy will never be forgiven.

Centaur[]

The Centaur is a resident of Bonesborough. He is a centaur, as his name suggests, and has a humanoid upper half that has brown hair and pointed ears. He has his eyes and mouth on his abdomen instead of his head. Luz tried to sell Eda's human items to him, but she was scared away after he revealed where his eyes and mouth were. He is voiced by Robin Atkin Downes.

Mr. Tuxedo[]

Mr

Mr. Tuxedo is a catlike creature who resides at the Kitty Cafe. He resembles a piebald cat with a green tuft of hair on his head and wears a purple tuxedo suit. He attempts to warn Eda (who is in King's body) that Roselle and Dottie are actually brainwashing the animals through coddling them and keeping them enslaved inside the cafe. However, he succumbs to his own brainwashing right after he reveals the fates of the other animals to Eda. He is voiced by Jake Green.

Unnamed oracle student with black hat[]

An unnamed student is a student at Hexside and a member of Boscha's gang. He is a humanoid with blond scruffy hair, no nose, and pale brown skin. He wears a black beanie hat and a Hexside uniform with oversized purple sleeves and leggings that indicate he is in the oracle track. He is voiced by Arin Hanson. He befriends King (as Luz) and uses a Spell Circle to rearrange different witches' faces, even a witch whose face was already switched around. He later appears as an audience member in Tibbles' circus show, and later at Fair Day, playing Hexes Hold'em with his friends at their stand.

The Typewriter is a talking typewriter used by King, Luz, and Hooty. In "Sense and Insensitivity", King and Luz both use the typewriter to write their stories. The typewriter speaks to its user, frequently providing encouragement and them and frequently using the word "girl" to begin sentences. The typewriter is also used by Hooty in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", although it does not talk in this episode. It is voiced by Ryan O'Flanagan.

Scooter Crane is the former Head Witch of the Bard Coven. Not much is known about him except that his banner can be seen at the Hexside courtyard. He retired in "Eda's Requiem", where he was succeeded by Raine Whispers as the head of the Bard Coven.

Early Belos Followers[]

Hollow Mind - 834

A group of nine Savage Age witches and demons who were the first members of Belos' coven system. Originally inhabiting the Knee, they were introduced into the coven system, being branded by the Golden Guard with prototype sigils for each of the nine covens. However, the sigils were unstable, which caused a severe reaction that left them all drained and catatonic. Belos took their palismen in their debilitated state and abandoned them. The Oracle Coven member is voiced by Mela Lee.

An unnamed rat is seen eating Hex Mix in the Blight Industries factory. The rat features hair and a set of goggles which resemble those of Alador Blight.

The Archivists[]

The Archivists were a group of grown-up collectors that traveled through the universe of the Demon Realm from planet to planet to collect their species, preserving them for all eternity and preventing them from "fading". In portraits and constellations, the Archivists are tall robed collectors very similar to each other and wearing a nightcap like their younger sibling but with each of them having a different pendant on the tip of their caps. The first, a turquoise crescent moon, the second, a yellow five-pointed star, the third, a ringed orange planet and the fourth, a red five-pointed star.

In the distant past, when the Archivists discovered the Demon Realm, they tricked their sibling into traveling to the Demon Realm as a scout for the titan species they recently discovered. After learning titan magic nullified their magic, they proceeded to purge the titans one by one. Enraged and believing the child led the Archivists to them, the Titan imprisoned the Collector, unaware the Collector was not responsible for their extinction. It is unknown what became of the Archivists afterward.
