Mikki was born in Manila, Philippines. Despite being raised by parents who are lawyers, she decided that writing comedy gives her more pleasure than legalese. After working in post-production as a digital colorist and a graphic designer in TV5, she moved to New York City to attend Columbia University and earned her Screenwriting MFA there. She likes to write about strange spooky things that happen to weird, kooky people.
