New Guy is a teddy bear that King acquires from one of Owlbert's trips to the Human Realm.[1]
Appearance[]
New Guy is a stuffed bear with light tan fur and dark brown paws and inner ears, with a caramel snout and stomach. Its eyes are blue, except for when it is possessed, which causes them to glow red. The New Guy also possesses a white pull cord that allows it to speak phrases such as "I love cuddles and kisses" and "Being without you is just unbearable".
Background[]
Found amidst a recent haul of human garbage, King immediately took a liking to the New Guy, and added the teddy bear to his army of terror. The New Guy, alongside various other toys (like Beefy Bob), gets conscripted into King's boot camp and is given life via a potion. King's army of now-living toys is given instructions to pamper King as his "training." However, due to King's neglect and mistreatment, the New Guy starts a revolution against King, and backed by Beefy Bob as well as the other toys, the toy army manages to throw King out of the Owl House. The New Guy and its allies would meet their end at the hands of Hooty.[1]
Despite its supposed demise, New Guy is seen again with King when he tells Luz that she should try to squeeze information out of the echo mouse, which he then squeezes New Guy so hard that its head pops off, ultimately meeting its second end.[2]
