The Owl House Wiki

The Relic Room is a room located inside the Emperor's Castle which includes numerous magical relics, such as the Green Thumb Gauntlet, Oracle Sphere, and Healing Hat.

Appearance[]

The room is large and rectangular, presenting several white and gold pedestals, each of which holds a unique relic and is lit from above by pillars of light. Spread across the middle of the room is a green rug with gold bricks bordering it. The floor is made of polished marble, and the walls are white and gold, similar to the pillars. The ceiling is semi-curved, and supported by criss-crossing wooden beams.

The room also features several statues, held in rafters behind the white-gold arches that line the room. Presumably depicting the coven leaders appointed when covens were first brought to the isles by Belos, they are each sporting unique sets of clothing and items, although only four of the presumed nine statues in the relic room are ever shown to us. Similar statues can be found lining the room Belos is using to reconstruct the portal to the human realm.

The relics found on display are the:

  • Oracle Coven's Oracle Sphere: a purple orb cradled by a three-headed stone snake. It creates an ethereal version of the user who tells them how to become their best self. According to a pamphlet, the Oracle Sphere was made from the tears of the "Great Eye".
  • Plant Coven's Green Thumb Gauntlet: a wooden gauntlet capable of growing any kind of plant, so long as the user can imagine it.
  • Healing Coven's Healing Hat: a witch hat made from the magic of the Savage Ages. It has the ability to heal any injury and lift any curse. The hat was eventually accidentally destroyed during the events of "Agony of a Witch".
  • A gold harp from the Bard Coven.
  • A white orb containing purple clay from the Abomination Coven.
  • A golden vial from the Potions Coven.
  • A silver mirror from the Illusionist Coven.
  • A gold bell from the Beast Keeping Coven.
  • An unknown relic from the Construction Coven.

Trivia[]

  • "Relics" are alluded to in the "Witch's Apprentice" video game, where 19 relics could be unlocked in the game referencing one item for each of the 19 episodes.
  • Strangely, there are only eight pedestals present in the room, and despite the Construction Coven being one of the main nine covens, there doesn't appear to be a relic gifted to Belos in the room.
