Snails are the native currency used on the Boiling Isles.

Appearance[]

Snails take the form of minted coinage and printed paper bills. The coins are gold in color, and have a spiral marking on one side, presumably to resemble the indents of a snail shell. The currency symbol for snails resembles a spiral with a vertical line running through it.

Background[]

It is unknown how much a single snail is worth, but it is assumed to be low on its own, as seen in "Separate Tides" when Eda receives her payment and remarks, "A single snail? Are you kidding me?"

Sightings[]

Trivia[]

  • Under Belos' regime, Eda had a bounty of a trillion snails on her head for her open defiance to his coven system in particular and his rule in general. This is incredibly high: the highest bounty we see in "Separate Tides" is the Selkidomus's 1 million, and in "O Titan, Where Art Thou", the highest bounty, except for Eda's, was Lilith's at 2 million.
  • Two other snail-like coins are shown to exist, almost identical to the more commonly seen gold snail except silver and bronze in color.[1] It is unknown if these coins are also classified as snails or if they are separate types of coins.
